Updates to Auto and BOP in eCLIQ® Simple™

We’ve set out to do one thing with eCLIQ Simple: make quoting easier for you. A few recent changes have simplified processing Auto and BOP lines even more:

  • Use retained data for on-demand payments – you can now use retained electronic funds transfer and credit/debit card data for on-demand payments and when enrolling in or updating automatic payments.
  • Easily view Auto and BOP mandatory forms in eCLIQ Simple– find required forms quickly with dropdown lists on the quote and estimate screens in eCLIQ Simple.
  • Further enhancements to VIN validation – on top of January’s VIN validation upgrades, you now have additional opportunities throughout the quoting process to correct invalid VIN information.

MI: Improving the auto signed forms request process

Process changes are coming for small commercial auto policy request forms. These changes will make it smoother and quicker to send and receive the signed forms your clients require. Most importantly, they’ll minimize risk and allow us to more accurately and competitively rate our products. You, your clients and your prospects will reap the benefits!

So what’s changing?

  • This process will affect new business, renewals and endorsements.
  • The current 30 calendar-day deadline for returning policyholder selection/rejection/acknowledgement signed forms for MI auto is being reduced to 15 business days. Now, you will have 10 business days to respond to form requests, then five more business days after a second request is issued. After that, if a signed form is not obtained, we will update the PIP medical limit and premium on the policy to the Unlimited coverage option.
  • Shortening this timeline means minimizing the opportunities for uninsured accidents to happen while we wait for forms to arrive.
  • Michigan laws require us to send and collect PIP medical forms every renewal year. We will be requesting updated PIP medical forms for all policies with limits under the unlimited coverage option. We will also be collecting Qualified Healthcare Coverage proofs every renewal year for all policies with options four, five and six per the medical coverage form.
  • Notifications about form requests will be clearer about deadlines and next steps if they aren’t met.

This updated process goes into effect on May 10, 2021, for Liberty Mutual small commercial auto policies.
