Honoring 200 years of service

Congratulations to Hickok & Boardman on its 200th anniversary! As the oldest agency in Vermont, it’s both an industry and community leader, helping dozens of local nonprofits over the years. Most notably, it has supported the United Way of Northwest Vermont for more than 75 years, raising more than $2 million in the process — a distinction that earned the agency a Lifetime Achievement Award from the United Way in 2014.

New underwriting assistant points of contact

On Oct. 11, to service your needs more effectively, we made a couple of important changes to the way we organize our team of underwriting assistants. First, please note that we’re now calling underwriting assistants “support specialists.” Second, instead of having individually-assigned support specialists for express, custom, inland marine and farm, you now have a small team of specialists who will handle questions and requests for all four underwriting segments.

 

Aligned by territory, these teams can help in areas where you may have reached out to an underwriting assistant in the past. Common questions and requests they might handle include status checks on open endorsements, renewals or mid-term quotes; explanations for premium changes on audits, quotes or endorsements; rush requests with urgent timeframes; and other research and problem-solving on general process issues.
