September updates to the billing experience

Starting in September, agency-billed policies will begin billing through our modernized billing experience. This is an important step on our journey toward a best-in-class billing experience for both agents and customers.

 

Here are the key improvements:

 

  • A simplified new business billing setup with the removal of the Arrange financials step
  • Agency bill statements now available through the Agency Financials Portal

Customer postcard notices for exterior photo inspections

We conduct routine exterior surveys of business properties we insure. These surveys consist of photographing the exterior of the property only, and therefore, the insured does not need to be present. We utilize a vendor partner, Mueller Reports, to conduct the survey, and field representatives from Mueller Reports are required to wear a photo ID.

 

We recently improved this process so that customers will receive advance notice via postcard. The postcard will be mailed to the insured location where an inspection is scheduled to be performed. See an example of the postcard here.

  • Agency copies of policies written in eCLIQ discontinued: We heard these copies head straight to your paper shredder, so we figured we’d give your shredder some much-needed rest. You can still access an online copy within a day of issuing a policy.
  • Third-party memo copies of policies written in eCLIQ® and eCLIQ® Simple™ discontinued: Same deal. Most third parties now accept a certificate of insurance, but if you ever need an extra copy of a policy for a third party, simply access it online and email it.
