CA: There’s now an easier way to access Address Analyst

In response to agent feedback, Address Analyst is now accessible from the Tell us about the customer section of the eCLIQ main menu.

 

Address Analyst is a tool you can use prior to quoting to see if a specific risk with a California address is in a wildfire zone. To use it, select the effective date from the calendar, enter the California address and click Search. You’ll get immediate results including underwriting hazards and requirements to quote.

Agent portal update

On Sept. 14, the classic Start page on the agent portal is going away and you’ll be redirected to the new Start page. Introduced in Aug. 2022, the new Start page offers a clean look and feel, enhanced personalization and easy access to simplified navigation on the left side and top of your screen that moves with you throughout the site.

 

Plus, we recently improved the top navigation with consolidated categories:

  • The Products and Industries tabs are now combined, so you can access informational content about our appetite and products all in one place.
  • The Sell and Grow and Rewards tabs are now combined into Programs and rewards, so you can easily find informational content about growth and recognition programs as well as your personalized discounts and rewards.

A fresh online experience for your customers

These changes have been delayed due to a technical difficulty. We’ll update you on Newsbrief when we have a new launch date.

 

On Feb. 22, we’re making the first of many planned enhancements to the to the MyBusinessOnline Customer Portal to provide a better experience to your customers. For customers new to the portal, we’ve streamlined the registration process, while those who already manage their policies online will notice a refreshed look and feel.

 

MyBusinessOnline Customer Portal still allows customers to:

  • Create simple certificates of insurance.
  • Make payments online or schedule future payments.
  • Enroll in paperless billing and/or automatic payments.
  • View account status, balance and payment history.
  • Enable email notifications when billing activity occurs.

Customers want and expect digital capabilities, so we encourage you to remind them that the MyBusinessOnline Customer Portal offers access to their account information 24 hours a day from any desktop, tablet or mobile phone.

CA: New tool shows if a risk is in a wildfire zone

Address Analyst  is a new tool you can use prior to quoting that lets you see if a specific risk is in a wildfire zone.

 

To use the tool, simply enter the effective date and address and you’ll get immediate results including underwriting hazards and requirements to quote. Currently, the tool is only available for properties in California.

Your clients now have the ability to generate their own certificates of insurance — or proof of insurance – for both property and liability from their online accounts. This unique digital capability means faster processing times for your clients and fewer administrative tasks for you.

 

To ensure customers with eligible policies are aware of this exciting and convenient new capability, we’ll be sending them an email to promote it and provide step-by-step guidance on how to generate their certificate. Some customers will receive this email as early as Nov. 2, while others will receive it in Dec. You can view a copy of the email here.

Now available for clients! Instant access to certificates of property

We recently expanded our self-serve certificate of insurance capabilities for clients to include certificates of property (COP). This means your clients can instantly generate certificates of insurance – or proof of insurance – for both property and liability from their online account instead of having to reach out to their agent or call the Small Business Service Center. This unique digital capability will result in faster processing times for your clients and fewer administrative tasks for you.

 

Eligibility

This functionality is available for clients who have policies with liability or property coverage.

 

How it works

Clients see a banner message on their online account promoting the feature, and they see a Certificate of Insurance tab in their interface. They can navigate to that tab to generate a certificate or view certificates that have already been generated.

 

To create a certificate, those with eligible policies can simply click Create Certificate, select the policy and then they have the option to enter the certificate holder information. The certificate will then open in a new tab or window – it’s that easy!

 

Clients with policies that are not yet eligible will also see the banner message and the new tab, but they will not see an option to Create Certificate.

Out with the old, in with the new! We just launched a brand-new Start page on the Liberty Mutual<sup>®</sup> Agents’ Portal that makes it even easier to do business with us.

 

The new Start page builds on the success of the new product, industry, rewards and sell & grow pages. It offers a clean look and feel, simple navigation and personalized promotions and product information just for you. A menu on the left side of the screen shows the most popular agent destinations and a transformed search experience displays results you can filter, so you get where you need to go even faster.

 

In the weeks ahead, expect to see continued improvements to the new page while it’s still in beta. You’ll be able to move back and forth between the classic Start page and the new Start page, and you’ll notice a helpful video on the new page to show you around.

New Agents’ Portal tabs become permanent on March 18

Based on your feedback and requests, we’ve created two new tabs — Customers and My agency — to make doing business with us even easier. Following a beta launch that began on February 8, these changes will become permanent on March 18. This is the latest upgrade to the Agents’ Portal, following improvements made in recent months to the Industries and Product pages and the Sell and grow section.

2 actions you can take to help clients prepare for hurricanes

The damage caused by Hurricane Ida is a timely reminder of how devastating hurricane season can be. We’ve brought together two actions you can take to help your clients stay informed, mitigate risk and prepare to weather the storm this hurricane season.

 

1. Encourage clients to create an action plan: Our downloadable Hurricane Action Plan provides business owners with checklists, specific actions to take before and after a hurricane as well as recovery steps.

2. Leverage SocialShare: Use your social media channels to share helpful content with your clients. Simply visit SocialShare, search for “hurricane” and share the posts through your own social media channels.
